Dry Tea Leaf:
Appearance: The fresh tea leaves are full of aroma and is made up of small tender leaves consisting. It smells of robust freshness and has that perfect bloom and are roasted well enough which promises a good cup with a genuine autumnal characteristics of the season. Colour is predominantly bright brown.
Fragrance: Dry leaves have a sweet musky fragrance.
Liquor:
Appearance: Brighter shades of the late sunset.
Fragrance: Fragrance of musk coupled with unique sweetness peculiar to autumnal teas.
Flavour: The cup is smooth, non astringent and has that floral, musky flavor which engulfs the senses the moment a sip is taken. The flavors are felt instantly and the sensation of the aroma along with other complex taste lingers for a while after the sip.
About the Tea Garden
Okayti Tea Estate is located in Mirik, 45 kilometers from Darjeeling. Established in 1888, it is one of the oldest tea plantation of the Darjeeling region. A high elevation tea garden which has a good mix of clonal and chinary tea bushes planted in 208 hectares of the lush green hills.
