Singell tea estate is a historic and scenic tea garden located in Kurseong, Darjeeling at an altitude of 5500ft. The estate was established in 1860 and is one of the oldest in the region. It is known for producing high-quality organic Darjeeling tea with a distinctive muscatel flavour and aroma. The estate covers an area of 237 hectares and has an average elevation of 1500 meters above sea level.
It was one of the first tea gardens to be planted with the original Chinese tea bushes, which are still cultivated today. The estate also has a heritage tea factory, which was built in 1885 and still uses the traditional methods of tea processing.
